A Video Conference on the Possible Effects of Risks and Opportunities Caused by Climate Change on the Banking Sector was organized by the Banks Association of Turkey.
In the first part of the conference, where the opening speech was made by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alpaslan Çakar, the Role of Institutions in Promoting Sustainable Finance was discussed.
European Banking Federation Financial Growth Director Burçak İnel, United Nations Environment Program TCFD Program Officer David Carlin, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Climate Resilience Investments Manager Craig Davies and Turkish Economic and Political Research Foundation Program Director Dr. Güven Sak spoke at the Panel.
Sustainability in the Turkish Banking Sector was discussed in the second part of the conference, which was held with the participation of Sustainability Unit Manager Derya Sargın Malkoç, Garanti BBVA Sustainable Finance Manager Seray İmer and Ayşe Nazlıca, TSKB Sustainability and Corporate Governance Coordinator, Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş.
